بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
أَلۡهَىٰكُمُ ٱلتَّكَاثُرُ١
Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you 1
حَتَّىٰ زُرۡتُمُ ٱلۡمَقَابِرَ٢
Until you visit the graveyards. 2
كَلَّا سَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُونَ٣
No! You are going to know. 3
ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُونَ٤
Then no! You are going to know. 4
كَلَّا لَوۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ عِلۡمَ ٱلۡيَقِينِ٥
No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty... 5
لَتَرَوُنَّ ٱلۡجَحِيمَ٦
You will surely see the Hellfire. 6
ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيۡنَ ٱلۡيَقِينِ٧
Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty. 7
ثُمَّ لَتُسۡــَٔلُنَّ يَوۡمَئِذٍ عَنِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ٨
Then you will surely be asked that Day about pleasure. 8
