بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
وَٱلضُّحَىٰ١
By the morning brightness 1
وَٱلَّيۡلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ٢
And [by] the night when it covers with darkness, 2
مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ٣
Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. 3
وَلَلۡأٓخِرَةُ خَيۡرٞ لَّكَ مِنَ ٱلۡأُولَىٰ٤
And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]. 4
وَلَسَوۡفَ يُعۡطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرۡضَىٰٓ٥
And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied. 5
أَلَمۡ يَجِدۡكَ يَتِيمٗا فَــَٔاوَىٰ٦
Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6
وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلّٗا فَهَدَىٰ٧
And He found you lost and guided [you], 7
وَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلٗا فَأَغۡنَىٰ٨
And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient. 8
فَأَمَّا ٱلۡيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقۡهَرۡ٩
So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. 9
وَأَمَّا ٱلسَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنۡهَرۡ١٠
And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]. 10
وَأَمَّا بِنِعۡمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثۡ١١
But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it]. 11
