بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
أَلَمۡ نَشۡرَحۡ لَكَ صَدۡرَكَ١
Did We not expand for you, [O Muhammad], your breast? 1
وَوَضَعۡنَا عَنكَ وِزۡرَكَ٢
And We removed from you your burden 2
ٱلَّذِيٓ أَنقَضَ ظَهۡرَكَ٣
Which had weighed upon your back 3
وَرَفَعۡنَا لَكَ ذِكۡرَكَ٤
And raised high for you your repute. 4
فَإِنَّ مَعَ ٱلۡعُسۡرِ يُسۡرًا٥
For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease. 5
إِنَّ مَعَ ٱلۡعُسۡرِ يُسۡرٗا٦
Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease. 6
فَإِذَا فَرَغۡتَ فَٱنصَبۡ٧
So when you have finished [your duties], then stand up [for worship]. 7
وَإِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَٱرۡغَب٨
And to your Lord direct [your] longing. 8
